Ljubo Duletić's gusle and diple modulations
Contribution to the research of musical tradition of the Monte Negro Hinterland and Littoral regions

Gusle and diple practice are essential parts of cultural identity of Monte Negro Hinterland rural vocal-instrumental and instrumental musical tradition. Importance of gusle and diple playing is still in the centre of attention of players, and it often happens that these two organologic different musical instruments are played by one player. This phenomenon will be represented through the musical activity of Ljubo Duletić (born in Maine, 1948). He inherited this practice from his father, and he still preserves, holds and develops this practice. Ljubo Duletić found the way to present his practice out of his native place, and he also found the way to be different from the other gusle players by his repertoire, or he became inovator of the "new" diple tradition (modulation).
